Get Ready for Soccer ID Cup 2024 featuring Club América vs Atlético Nacional
ORLANDO, FL – A press conference was held at Varsity Club at Camping World Stadium this week, announcing the first annual Soccer ID Cup match between Mexico’s Club América against Colombia’s Atlético Nacional
The match will take place at the stadium on September 7th, 2024, with one of Mexico’s premier soccer clubs facing their counterparts from Colombia.
At the announcement, former soccer great Enrique Borja spoke to the media. “We are pleased to invite you to an extraordinary match,” said Enrique Borja, Club América Legend. “Club América, recent double champion, champion of champions and Super Cup champion of Mexican football will face Atlético Nacional of Colombia, one of the most renowned and supported teams in Colombia. Bring your families and join us for this remarkable event and be part of this spectacle.”
The press conference this week was attended by several dignitaries, including Juan Sabines Guerrero from the Consulate of Mexico in Orlando, Carolina Amesty from the Florida House of Representatives, and Mayra Uribe, Orange County Commissioner, District 3, among many others.
The event was organized by Scott Matthews and his iTouchOrlando team, who are major sponsors of the match.
Club América arrives in Orlando riding high on their recent successes, having secured back-to-back championships in both the Clausura and Apertura tournaments. Their impressive performance in the Liga MX has cemented their status as one of the most formidable teams in the region.
As one of Colombia’s most celebrated clubs, Atlético Nacional has a rich history of wins, including 17 titles to its name. It has a dedicated fan base here in Orlando.
